Pete Harrison is the Executive Vice President for EDF Regions. He supports the deployment of EDF’s mission across the four anchor geographies – China, India, Europe and the United States. He joined from the European Climate Foundation (ECF) where he led the team working to secure the EU Green Deal, with the goal of making Europe the world’s first climate neutral economy. During his decade at the ECF, he also led work to achieve an equitable transition of the mobility system, away from petroleum and towards e-mobility. Pete’s approach to climate action is based on systems thinking, drawing on more than a decade of analysing businesses, markets, politics and security at the international news agency Reuters. He started his working life as a marine ecologist, travelling Africa and the Middle East as a scuba diving instructor, writer and publisher.
