Catherine Ittner
Global Transport ManagerCatherine Ittner is a manager for Environmental Defense Fund’s Global Transport team, based in London, UK. In this role, she works to transform international shipping into a clean, zero-emission industry that supports the deployment of renewable energy around the world and reduces the current disproportionate health burden caused by air pollution. Catherine brings nearly a decade of environmental experience to the role, with several years at EDF focused on advancing the clean energy economy in the United States. Catherine’s work contributed to the passing of Illinois’ groundbreaking Future Energy Jobs Act and of congestion pricing in New York City, an effort to reduce traffic congestion and pollution. She recently led strategic communications for the Breathe London pilot, an ambitious project to map and measure the capital city’s air pollution in partnership with the Mayor of London, Google and scientific experts.
